“I Miss You” (Tony/Ziva) NCIS FANFICTION  

I’ve had this idea for years … maybe 1 day I’ll write a prequel.

Very short … and my first fic in english so I apologize for any typos or “badly used” words. Set between season 5 and 6, without Rivkin.

It was late at night in Tel Aviv when Ziva’s cellphone rang on her nightstand.

“David. You better have a goddamn good reason whoever you are.”

“…uuuh … I believe I do Zi!”

Ziva’s face lit up at the sound of Tony’s voice and smiled while relaxing her body on the bed.

“Hello Tony.”

“HIIII!”  was his answer from the other side of the phone.

“You already left?” asked Ziva, sightly lowering her voice. She was still smiling and she didn’t think she would be able to stop until she was on the phone with him. Memories of the three days they spent together invaded her mind, she was so intensely focused on those beautiful and unforgettable days that she almost missed his answer:

“Yep, a few minutes ago. And I already hate this ship more than before!”

She chuckled a little. “May I ask why?”

Silence…

“Tony?”

“… I already miss you Ziva.” He admitted with a sigh.

“Already? You left two hours ago!”

“Well seems like you don’t miss me then!” He answered. Trying to sound pissed but he knew she was joking… at least he hoped so.

Ziva was now laughing at his reaction, trying to decide if she should continue teasing him or put him out of his misery. She decided for the latter.

“I do Tony.”

“You do what?”

“Miss you … I miss you already too Tony.”

Tony didn’t reply. And Ziva could hear a strange sound on the other side of the phone.

“Tony? … Are you still there?”

“YEAH! Yeah I’m still here. So, you miss me huh?”

“Yes …”

“hmmm … that’s good you know.”

“Oh really? And why’s that?”

“Well, because … maybe the fact that I’m walking in you hallway right now and I’m about to enter your bedroom and kiss you and do unspeakable things to you for the rest of the night and possibly tomorrow would make you happy.”

She could hear the source of his voice changing from the cellphone to the hallway as he spoke. And whe she saw a dark figure appear on her bedroom door she had lost the ability to speak, and was close to lose the one to breathe.

She turned on the light on her nightstand, still holding the phone to her ear and se looked at him.

He couldn’t look more beautiful to her eyes, with his famous DiNozzo smile plastered on his face.

He didn’t even had the time to say “hi”, Ziva jumped out of bed, threw her arms around his neck and hugged him burying her head on his neck and shoulder.

“WOAH! So much for not missing me ninja!”

She ignored him and kissed him like there was no tomorrow. When they separated, both needing air, she whispered: “I don’t care how or why you’re not on that ship. Just tell me how long do we have.”

He laughed: “Two days. They have a problem with the ship engine andMHFFFFFF”

She didn’t let him finish, she silenced him with another breathtaking kiss, and the next words (that actually made sense) he pronounced were four little words, that he whispered in her hear the following morning, while he thought she was asleep.

“I love you Ziva.”
